This role works closely with nursing and clinical teams to support patient care needs while ensuring comfort, safety, and excellent customer service. Primary Responsibilities Transport patients to and from various hospital units, clinical areas, testing departments, and procedures Utilize stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, and specialty transport vehicles safely and efficiently Assist nurses and clinical staff with transferring patients on and off transport equipment Deliver and retrieve equipment required for patient transport Maintain departmental equipment in clean, safe, and functional condition Follow all safety guidelines, hospital policies, and infection control procedures Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor promptly Attend required in-services, training sessions, and department meetings Provide courteous, respectful, and professional interactions with patients, families, and staff Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Perform additional duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications 2 years of customer service experience required (healthcare preferred) High school diploma preferred (or equivalent experience) Must be able to obtain BLS certification upon hire Ability to read, write, and follow verbal/written instructions Basic computer skills (email, online training, timekeeping system) Ability to use smartphones for job assignments Strong knowledge of body mechanics and safe patient handling Ability to maintain professionalism and sensitivity toward patient needs Strong communication and public relations skills Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift Ability to push/pull and lift heavy equipment or patients safely Must maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a service-oriented attitude Physical Demands Continuous: Walking, standing, pushing/pulling transport equipment, repetitive hand/wrist movements Intermittent: Bending, crouching, lifting/lowering heavy equipment or patient transport devices Working Conditions Frequent handwashing required Occasional exposure to cleaning agents Potential exposure to bodily fluids, blood, and infectious diseases Must pass a back evaluation exam] #TB_HC #ZR Talent Burst Job ID #25-47576.
