Responsibilities Position is in the Adult Surgery operating room within a hospital settingAdult surgical patient population requiring perioperative careLevel 1 trauma facility experience requiredDay shift with 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 6am to 5pmCall and holiday coverage are requiredNo local candidates accepted per 50-mile radius ruleResponsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care during operative and invasive proceduresAccountable for individualized patient care and thorough documentation in the perioperative environmentRole includes both direct and indirect patient care in the operating roomHoliday and call coverage are expected as part of the positionFirst time travelers are acceptedExtensions limited to one contract (26 weeks total) before a mandatory 6 month separation Requirements Active OK or compact RN licenseCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart AssociationMinimum of one year of experience in an acute OR environmentAssociate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program requiredDemonstrated knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative nursing techniquesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively work as part of a team in a high-acuity surgical setting Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-664634.
