- Saturday ~Coordinate driver activities and shuttle assignments to resolve service issues and minimize overtime, downtime, and hours of service violations. Ensure that customer’s needs are being met in a prompt and professional manner and escalate issues (late dispatch, breakdown, other service failures) to managers and sales force. Coordinate trailer, tractor, and backhaul assignments to support efficient logistics operations. SUPERVISION : ~ Customers The work will take place both at a desk in an office environment and in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees. Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Excellent telephone and customer service ability. Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. High school diploma or GED/equivalent required. Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time: 1 (Push/Pull: Hand truck, gate, straps, metal ramp, truck door, dolly, boxes, truck gear shift) In/Out Truck/Trailer to cab. On/Off ramp to ground level and side doorsteps and Platform of trailer. Hand truck, boxes, cartons, steering wheel) Boxes, dolly, metal truck ramp, hand truck, paperwork, truck gate, straps) Typing, use of office machines such as copiers, printers) As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
