Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a school psychologist, providing essential support to students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role, located near Stuart, FL, calls for a dedicated professional eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners. The position is on-site, with a requirement of 35 hours per week, and you will be working in a dynamic school environment with details regarding specific campus assignments and caseloads finalized during the hiring process.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health (FL DOH) School Psychologist License
- Previous experience in schools or with PK-8th grade children is highly advantageous
- Proven ability to conduct evaluations, collaborate with instructional teams, and effectively communicate assessment results to families and staff
- Familiarity with district credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and on-site badging processes
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to adapt quickly in fast-paced situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide recommendations for PK-8th grade students
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and academic support services
- Consult with parents, administrators, and educators on student progress and strategies for success
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation for all assigned cases
