Responsibilities Work in a hospital nuclear medicine department specializing in diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceutical proceduresDay shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8 hours per day, Monday through FridayNo weekend or on-call requirementsResponsible for procedures utilizing gamma cameras (planar and SPECT), PET, radiation detectors, dose calibrators, and quality control equipmentHandles radiopharmaceutical administration, preparation, measurement, and quality control according to NRC guidelinesResponsible for all aspects of radiopharmaceutical injection, calculation, and documentationPerforms patient positioning, equipment operation, and monitoring during proceduresApplies radiation safety regulations and quality control protocols diligentlyWorks independently using sound judgment and initiativeNo more than 5 days of requested time off will be approved for the contractLocal travelers can only complete one travel assignment at this facility Requirements Minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience requiredARRT (N) or CNMT certification requiredCurrent BLS (AHA) certification requiredKnowledge of Nuclear Medicine instrumentation, radiation safety practices, NRC guidelines, dosimetry, and ALARA techniques requiredExperience with intravenous (IV) access and aseptic technique requiredKnowledge of RIS and HIS preferredLicense required if applicableMust live more than 50 miles from facility; local candidates will not be considered Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-646370.
