Responsibilities Acute care hospital environment with Level 1 trauma designationWork with outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department patientsOperate GE MRI scanners (1.5T 450W and 3T 750W models)Standard MRI acquisition sequences and IV starts requiredEMR system used is EpicShifts are 8 hours each, with scheduling options for days (6am-2:30pm), evenings (2pm-10:30pm), and nights (10pm-6:30am)Must work 1 weekend per month and possible holiday coverageNo call or standby requiredOrientation lasts approximately 1 week, depending on scanner familiarityResponsibilities include MRI scanning, starting IVs, and adhering to MRI safety protocolsTeam support includes one MRI Tech assistant per 8-hour shiftDepartment-specific orientation provided, tailored to GE scanner experienceScrubs are not provided; standard solid-colored scrubs required and tattoos must be coveredClinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles are offered a local rateNegative drug screen required for all panelsCOVID-19 vaccination is not required Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist in an acute care settingActive BLS (AHA) certification requiredCurrent ARRT (R)(MR) certification requiredExperience operating GE MRI scanners (1.5T and 3T) preferredProficiency in MRI safety guidelines and starting IVsExperience with Epic requiredActive IL license required if applicableCertifications and license must be active at the time of consideration Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-664220.
