Director Oracle Fusion Analytics

Location: [New York/LA/SFO]

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Oracle Fusion Analytics Director to serve as our primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all reporting and analytics across Oracle Fusion Financials and Human Capital Management (HCM). In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, transforming complex ERP and HCM data into actionable insights. You will own the end-to-end reporting architecture, leveraging your deep expertise in Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), and SmartView to enable our finance and HR teams with high-quality, reliable, and scalable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & SME Guidance

• Act as the primary Reporting SME for Oracle Cloud Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management) and Oracle Cloud HCM (Core HR, Recruitment, Compensation, Payroll, Talent Management).

• Partner with cross-functional business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into robust analytical solutions.

• Define and enforce best practices, naming conventions, and governance standards for enterprise reporting.

• Lead the transition from legacy reporting systems to modern Oracle Fusion Analytics frameworks.

Design & Development

• Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI): Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations. Extend FDI pre-built content by bringing in external data sources or custom Fusion objects.

• Oracle BI Publisher: Architect and develop pixel-perfect, highly formatted operational reports, documents, and bursting configurations.

• Financial Reporting Studio (FRS): Construct complex, compliance-ready financial statements (e.g., Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow).

• SmartView: Develop custom SmartView templates and train finance business users on multi-dimensional ad-hoc analysis.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from Oracle Cloud infrastructure.

Support & Continuous Improvement

• Manage the full reporting lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data, security, and performance issues within the reporting environments.

• Stay current with Oracle's quarterly release cycle, assessing new analytics features and guiding the business on adoption.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle BI/Analytics, with at least 3+ years specifically leading reporting solutions in an Oracle Fusion Cloud environment.

• Tool Expertise: Deep, verifiable proficiency in:

o Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) / Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)

o Oracle BI Publisher (Data models, RTF/eText templates, bursting)

o Financial Reporting Studio (FRS)

o OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) reports in Fusion

o Oracle SmartView for Office

• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the underlying data models, tables, and subject areas for both Oracle Cloud Financials and Oracle Cloud HCM.

• Technical Skills: Advanced SQL skills and experience with OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence).

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

• Relevant Oracle Certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Analytics Cloud).
