This is a 13-week contract position with competitive weekly pay up to $2,800, depending on experience. Our client values quality, patient-centered care and seeks a dedicated Nuclear Medicine professional to join their team.Job Description / Duties:Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic proceduresPrepare patients for procedures, including scheduling and pre-procedure instructionsOperate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary imaging equipment following protocolsEnsure accurate record keeping and adherence to radiation safety regulationsDemonstrate proficiency in all nuclear medicine procedures, including special positioning of patientsCalibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administrationCalculate patient study results and account for radioactive decayReview instrument calibration data and report malfunctionsMonitor physiological status and care of patients during proceduresMaintain proficiency in IV line placement and proper injection techniquesTrack and manage inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and suppliesSubmit nuclear charge tickets for each patient procedureMaintain up-to-date knowledge of medications used in nuclear medicinePerform other duties as assigned by supervisors or physiciansEducation / Licensure / Certification Requirements:Required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine TechnologyRequired: ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP certificationRequired: California State LicenseRequired: American Heart Association BLS CertificationExperience: New graduates welcome; 1-3 years of experience preferredAbout Rancho Mirage, CA:Nestled in the beautiful Coachella Valley, known for its desert landscapes and sunny weatherClose to Palm Springs, offering golf courses, hiking trails, and luxury resortsEnjoy cultural attractions like the Palm Springs Art Museum and Agua Caliente Cultural MuseumOutdoor activities include Joshua Tree National Park, biking, and horseback ridingVibrant dining and shopping scene with boutique stores, local markets, and fine diningRich community events, including music festivals, art fairs, and local farmers marketsAbout Connected Health CareConnected Health Care is a nationally recognized healthcare recruiting and staffing agency specializing in travel nursing, travel allied health, interim leadership, per-diem staffing, and permanent placement.
