ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Prescott, Arizona.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Med SurgDiscipline: RNStart Date: 01/13/2026Duration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelOpportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch • Every other weekend requirement - 2 weekends per 4-week schedule • Holiday requirement for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving (work 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day) • First to float when needed - may float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified • Night shifts available • Self-scheduling system used with manager final approval • Schedules made 4 weeks in advance • Work on telemetry unit (4th floor Surgical/Neuro) with 48 beds across two units (4A and 4B) • Patient ratio of 1:5 with nurse aide support at 1:10-15 ratio • Care for patients with COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general/orthopedic/spinal surgical patients • Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting strips at least once per shift • Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA and TIA required • Work with respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, high flow oxygen, and breathing treatments • Cerner charting system experience recommended • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Navy blue scrubs required • One shift of unit-specific orientation provided • No call or standby requirements • Charge nurse available without patient assignment Facility: This regional medical center provides comprehensive acute care services with specialized telemetry and surgical units.
