Responsibilities Work in an 8-room Emergency Department caring for patients from neonate to geriatric with a wide range of acuity levelsPatient ratios are 1:4 for both days and nightsDepartment is in the process of achieving stroke center designationUtilize equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, GE monitors, and bedside telemetry monitoringEMR system is Epic; Epic experience preferredNo floating to other units is requiredShift is 12-hour nights, with an every other weekend rotationHoliday coverage practices may varySupport on the unit includes techs, a free-floating charge nurse, a resource nurse, and 24/7 hospitalist and RT coverageOrientation includes four hours with a clinical educator plus 2-3 shifts on the unit and ongoing support for the first 2-3 weeksScrub color is navyFree parking is available on siteFirst-time travelers are not considered for this position Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required for considerationMinimum of two years of ER experience requiredCurrent certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MHS tele exam required; CPI or MOAB preferredTelemetry competency exam must be completed and passed prior to startExperience with general ER skills such as managing ETOH/drug abuse, cardiac, and orthopedic cases is requiredMust be COVID vaccinated as per facility guidelinesReferences from a supervisor or higher are required prior to start Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-644051.
