Radiology Technologist Job Details Job Title: Travel Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs) Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract Start Date: December 29, 2025 End Date: March 29, 2026 Setting: On-site, hospital-based radiology department Shift: 07:30 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour day shifts) Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,150 – $2,310 Radiology Technologist Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, Rad Tech, or Radiation Therapist Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or Radiation Therapy Technology program Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required New York State Radiation Therapist license (can be obtained during onboarding) Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills Commitment to patient safety and professional conduct Radiology Technologist Responsibilities Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist Operate advanced radiology equipment (Varian Truebeam, Varian 21ix) safely and efficiently Accurately document and maintain patient treatment parameters in electronic medical records Interpret computerized treatment plans and follow established clinical protocols Monitor patients daily for reactions and promptly report adverse effects Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to radiologic equipment Maintain compliance with NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety standards Prioritize patient care and uphold professional standards at all times Why Choose Albany, NY for Your Next Travel Healthcare Job?
