Responsibilities Work in a 25-bed Level 2B Special Care Nursery with L&D, postpartum, newborn, operating, and ante-natal roomsPatient population includes neonates, mothers, and laboring patientsClinician to patient ratios: 1:2-3 for L&D evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium infusion or epidural; postpartum 1:3-4Average daily census is 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor casesScheduled for 36 hours per week on night shifts from 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend requiredNo floating requiredUses EPIC for electronic medical recordsDeliver specialized nursing care to neonates and mothers in a Level 2B nursery settingWork alongside a multidisciplinary perinatal teamScrub attire required (not specified but typical for this setting)Orientation and training provided based on experienceParking may incur additional costs at certain locationsFirst time travelers are accepted if requirements are met Requirements Active, non-conditional MA RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent NICU and Level 2B Special Care Nursery experience requiredBLS certification (AHA preferred)NRP certification (AHA preferred)Special Care Nursery and newborn care skills requiredPrimary source license verification required prior to startFlu vaccination required (no religious or medical exemptions allowed)Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for standard rates Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-631198.
