ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia CareDiscipline: RNStart Date: 02/16/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelOpportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Work 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday with rotating start times as needed • No weekends, no call, and no holiday requirements • Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract • 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (CCRN and TNCC preferred) • Must have Level I Trauma Center experience and high acuity inpatient PACU experience • ICU experience preferred but not required • Will float only to PACU or PreOp units as needed • Provide post-anesthesia care for surgical patients including neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant patients • Care for patients requiring artificial airways, invasive monitoring including ICP, transfusions, and vasoactive drugs • Experience required with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia • Must be comfortable with dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and central line care • Night shift personnel must learn preoperative patient workup procedures • Must pass Relias EKG exam • Scrub color: Navy Blue • Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred) • Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract • Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility Facility: This major academic medical center is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center with 1,273 staffed beds. The facility features a 24/7 PACU with 38 patient bays and maintains an average daily census of 70-90 patients. The unit provides high-acuity post-anesthesia care with 80% of patients being admitted to the hospital after procedures. The facility offers comprehensive surgical services and maintains its own PCT/transport team, with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams.
