Responsibilities Position based in an acute care setting with responsibility for general X-ray and computed tomographyWork involves usage of 2 X-ray rooms, 1 CT room, 2 portable units, and 2 c-armsSiemens 64-slice CT, Shimadzu rooms, GE c-arms, and Fugi/ Shimadzu portable units are usedEpic EMR, Novarad PACS, and CRTIS are used in the departmentShift is a rotating day and night schedule with 8-hour shiftsPotentially required to float and provide coverage in ER, OR, Med Surg, and PACU within scopeWeekend involvement is expected every third weekend, covering 6:00 pm to 2:00 am based on experienceHoliday and call coverage may be required, dependent on manager evaluation and experienceAverage caseload is 40 scans during weekdays and 10 scans on weekendsJob duties include conducting general radiography and CT studies, including administering contrastNo responsibility for starting IVs is requiredOrientation up to 1 week on day shift with minimal Epic EMR training providedTravelers may be required to work alone at timesScrubs should be wine color if possible, otherwise any solid professional color is acceptableRadiology manager serves as departmental lead, with 24/7 teleradiology supportDepartment does not utilize Registered Radiology Assistants Requirements Minimum of 1 year CT and X-ray technologist experienceCurrent ARRT and BLS certifications requiredAbility to administer contrast and perform general CT and X-ray studies (no CT-guided procedures or IR)Experience working independently and transferring patientsFamiliarity with Epic EMR and Novarad PACS preferredLicense required if applicable Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-645734.
