The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Beaverton, OR or Denver, CO.

We're looking for a Software Engineer that is passionate about building software that drives our SaaS platform in the cloud. You will be working with cutting edge tools to develop code that is reliable, maintainable, and scalable. In this role you will get an opportunity to work on the full stack, from building microservices to creating compelling user experiences on top of the latest web and mobile technologies. You will be part of a team that develops, tests, and delivers solutions through our CI/CD environments and deploy solutions to our customers hosted on AWS.

What You'll Do
  • Work across the stack from UI to database
  • Leverage AWS to deliver efficient, cloud-native solutions
  • Write unit, integration, and functional tests, and guide others in doing the same
  • Document software designs and project tasks
  • Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design
  • Design and develop REST APIs and other code that is reliable, maintainable, and extendable
  • Participate in design/code reviews
  • Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications
  • Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design
  • Document software designs and project tasks
  • Work with team members to improve development processes and practices
The Skills and Experience You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years' experience in software development with demonstrated experience working full stack
  • Experience using modern server frameworks (such as , Spark, Spring Boot) to build microservices
  • Experience using web UI frameworks such as Typescript, React or Angular to build web UI's
  • Experience with build and deployment in AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Design, develop REST APIs
  • Experience with client and server unit testing
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile SDLC
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written communication skills
  • Adept at effectively working with professionals from a wide range of disciplines
  • Passionate about delivering high quality results
