DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement the strategic direction for credit card and payment acceptance, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing payment processes to identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Lead and participate in complex, cross-functional projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with payment processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and security standards.
  • Analyze financial data to measure the impact of payment initiatives, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure optimal performance.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of payment professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including finance, operations, and technology, to ensure alignment and support for payment initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in payment processes. Act as a liaison between Accounting and IT on projects associated with payment networks and processors including new and updated integrations, new features, and new partnerships.
  • Identify and implement innovative payment solutions to enhance customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Perform additional job related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Accounting, Finance or related field

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in payment processing, including credit card and alternative payment methods.
  • Cruise industry experience a plus.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
  • Proven track record of leading successful payment initiatives, including system implementations, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of payment industry trends, regulations, and security standards (PCI DSS, EMV, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems and processes, including ERP systems and payment gateways.
  • Experience in managing complex payment projects, including budget management, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience in analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Experience in developing and implementing payment strategies.
  • Experience in managing payment teams and developing talent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
