Due to an internalpromotion, we are looking for an experienced Site Director to lead this siteinto its next phase of growth and to deliver on a long-term transformationprogram following significant capex investment.

Reporting into theLife Sciences Managing Director - Operations for North America you will befocused on shaping the future of the Alabaster site, driving operationalexcellence, cultural transformation, and long-term success whilst building ateam and culture aligned to Croda's purpose of 'Smart Science to Improve Lives.'
Who We're Looking For:
  • Educational Background: Degree, MSc, or PhD in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in site leadership within a regulated Pharmaceutical/CDMO environment.
  • Change Management: Ability to lead sustainable cultural and operational change and driving transformation within all areas on the site.
  • Commitment to Safety: Strong appreciation for Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) and Quality systems within a heavily regulated industry (GMP, FDA etc.) with ability to lead a zero-harm safety culture.
  • Talent Development: Excellent coaching and mentoring skills with a background in building diverse and high performing teams.
  • Strong Cultural Fit: An empathetic leader. Low ego with a passion for continuous improvement and ability to work in a highly complex, fast-paced environment who can build collaborative cross functional relationships and networks.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a 3 to 5-year strategy to solidify Alabaster as an industry leader in lipid development and manufacturing.
  • Build High-Performance Teams: Recruit, develop, and mentor talent across all levels to ensure a strong and sustainable pipeline of future leaders.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Lead continuous improvements in safety, quality, and operational processes to ensure we're always moving forward.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with commercial teams, R&D, and other Croda sites to drive innovation, maximize profitability, and align on shared goals.
  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold the highest standards in SHE, Quality and Regulatory requirements to maintain our industry leadership.
  • Champion Site Investment: Advocate for resources and investment to support the growth and advancement of products, processes, and technologies.
