Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. - You will be knowledgeable of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
- You will perform a head-to-toe assessment on maternal and newborn and reassessments as per policy.
- You will formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- You will communicate appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, coworkers and physicians.
- You will consult other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs.
- You will coordinate and supervise patient care, as necessary.
- You will demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures in the mother/baby area.
- You will interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
- You will maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
- You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current California Registered Nurse (R.N.) license.
- BLS required.
- NRP 60 day grace-period.
- A Registered Nurse who has one (1) year of full-time equivalent or more of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse.
