Position Responsibilities:

The Sr. Systems Engineer's role will be to support functional verification and validation as well as testing operation. The engineer will trace technical requirements to verification and validation strategies that ensure product quality, develop test plans and test procedures, and execute and report the test results.

Develop the test plan to verify and validate the requirements
  • Review, Revise, design and build automated testing systems, which can include tooling and/or ground support equipment (GSE).
  • Perform and validate test documentation and required hardware
  • Mentor and train to run validated procedures/equipment
  • Troubleshoot issues with hardware and/or equipment,
  • Collect and analyze test data
  • Write/review test reports
  • Flags/non-conformances
  • Verifiable experience in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution.
  • Support trade studies and requirements development to meet mission Goals
  • Examine the satellite functional specification for customer needs and mission goals
  • Generate satellite CONOPS, algorithm descriptions, and interface documents
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technical, Engineering, Math
  • Preferred: Master's
Experience:
  • 9 years of aerospace experience,
  • Should include include 3 plus years' experience in System Engineering, Integration and Testing (SEIT) on satellite/aerospace or spacecraft operation
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
  • Experience with (DOORS, CCS5, JIRA)
  • Familiar with satellite operation, such as GNC, Power system, Data Handling, and Software
  • Exp with product and quality assurance principles.
  • Experienced with test flags and non-conformance documentation
  • Experience with (C, C++) (TCL, Python)
