Your Role:

We are seeking a professional to join our dynamic team as an Air Quality Engineer/Project Manager. The ideal candidate will bring experience in client/project management and regulatory compliance to enhance our growing air permitting team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead projects and play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and delivering exceptional service.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
  • Stay informed on existing, new, and proposed regulations and apply them to client projects.
  • Prepare accurate emission estimates using approved state and federal calculation methodologies based on site-specific information.
  • Ensure quality control of both personal work and managed projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive federal and state air quality regulatory reviews, contributing to strategy development for compliance.
  • Evaluate air pollution control technologies for economic and technical feasibility, aiding in the selection of appropriate control equipment.
  • Develop comprehensive air quality permits for Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and New Source Review compliance.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant post-education experience in air permitting including project management experience.
  • Highly proficient in federal and state air quality regulations and permitting processes.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining spreadsheets and relational databases to track operating and emissions data.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
