The position is focused on delivering key financial metrics including net sales, profit, and share objectives across retail customers by providing timely and robust financial analysis, control and compliance support, and effective business planning. The position informs and influences business decisions, particularly focused on trade and marketing investment opportunities, business planning, and innovation. The position supports organization goals through the development and execution of effective and efficient business plans, detailed financial analysis involving trade investment and gap closing opportunities, customer level reporting, and robust control and compliance discipline.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities
  • Support sales and marketing finance activities i.e., pricing work, Trade analysis, forecast, reporting, variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Provide financial analysis and category insights to customers, where required, in support of joint business plans, budgeting, and event analysis.
  • Analysis of month-end results and provides clarity into the main drivers of any deviations.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to set targets and deadlines. Develop plans, conduct analyses, measures results and improve processes.
  • Develop pricing that maximizes profitability while maintaining competitive market positioning.
  • Assess trade spend effectiveness through return-on-investment analysis and incremental lift associated with promotions to develop recommendations to improve future top & bottom-line performance.
  • Analysis of month-end results and provides variance analysis and commentaries.
  • Coordinate with commercials teams to gather and summarize relevant data and commentary during the financial close.
  • Reconcile the spend tracker and follow up on variances during the month end.
  • Load, review, and reconcile forecast data to ensure alignment with actuals and business expectations.
  • Support the preparation and review of quarterly and periodic financial performance reports.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of financial files and trackers.
  • Ad hoc request as assigned.
Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:
  • 4-6 years of experience in corporate finance and/or business analysis with at least 2 years directly supporting Sales & Marketing and/or Revenue Management functions.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing fundamentals and trade investment experience.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Customer and brand level reporting and planning (budgeting/forecasting) experience.
  • Consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience, preferably in the manufacturing or food sector.
  • Experience with SAP, SAC, Business Objects, Hyperion.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize tools and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, including the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely.

Education & Certification:

Travel Requirements:
  • Estimated 5% travel

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $90,000 to $110,000

Dole Packaged Foods is committed to paying our Associates fairly and equitably. The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location. Pay scales are subject to review on a regular basis and will be updated as appropriate.
