Job Description

Process Automation Engineer II, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Decatur, IL. Provide plant support of process automation systems through guidance, troubleshooting, and standard work. Execute projects and seek opportunities for process automation to mitigate risk, improve efficiency, and drive optimization projects. Ensure compliance with safety and other EHS requirements. Develop, improve, and maintain production processes, equipment, operations, and safety interlocks. Develop and modify Process Automation controls and troubleshoot systems to identify and resolve hardware or software deficiencies. Create and maintain documentation of process automation hardware and software related to process automation control systems. Communicate status updates and make suggestions for improvements to processes.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience.

Must have one (1) year of experience with/in:

• Process control in an industrial environment; and,

• Troubleshooting, solving, and repairing issues with process control systems and working safely with and around AC & DC voltages up to 120V.

Must have knowledge/experience with/in:

• Distributed control systems such as Rockwell Automation PlantPAx;

• Working on industrial IO platforms such as Allen Bradley or Emerson Industrial IO platforms;

• Industrial Networks: TCP/IP, ControlNet, DH+, or Modbus;

• Industrial Process Control including instrumentation, AC/DC Electrical systems, and Piping & Instrument Diagrams; and,

• Data historian such as OSIsoft PI.

Up to 5% domestic travel required.
