Vista Veterinary Specialists, is seeking an internship trained or experienced full-time emergency veterinarian to join our Emergency and Specialty Referral hospital in Sacramento, California. We are seeking a team member who has excellent interpersonal skills, desires to be a team player, and possesses strong time management skills.

The schedule will include a combination of days, nights, and some weekends. We do make efforts to provide a schedule that promotes work-life balance; no more than 3 days in a row, no more than 4 overnights in a month (or 2 in a row) and every-other weekend off

Days: 10-hour shifts. 7A-5P, 8A-6P.
Swings: 12P-10P.
Overnights: 14-hour shifts 6P-8A, this includes 2 hours for rounding, IP and Soaps prior to receiving.

Our Hospital & Team:

Vista is a 24/7/365 Emergency and Specialty hospital providing care in internal medicine, surgery, radiology, cardiology and critical care. Within our 9,000 square foot facility, there are dedicated specialty exam and treatment rooms, on-site Vimago CT/fluoroscopy, MRI, ultrasonography, digital radiography, and full in-house laboratory.

Our hospital is well equipped with 2 surgical suites, 11 exam rooms and 2 isolation wards. Our current staff includes 9 full-time ER doctors, 2 full-time Criticalists and 2 full-time Internists. We are additionally supported by contracted Surgery, Cardiology and Radiology groups.
