We will count on you to:
  • Analyzes basic financial data and quantitative analyses, in order to support sound and defensible recommendations.
  • Reviews and conducts simple analysis of financial planning information and reports, and makes recommendations for changes to management.
  • Conducts basic audit activities, in order to comply with requirements.
  • Maintains best practices policies, in order to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicates with management on a consistent basis, to ensure sound fiscal management.
  • Assists in the month end close process by preparing recurring/standard and ad hoc reports, researching general ledger activities and variances to budget and prior year.
  • Evaluates financial plans by identifying financial outcomes and potential returns.
  • Prepares financial presentations using a variety of formats, displays, reproduction of charts, graphs, and econometric models.
  • Assists in the development of budgets and quarterly forecasts; tracks and reports initiatives.
  • Prepares financial planning information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Updates financial databases through entering, verifying, and securing data.
  • Improves financial planning job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.This role will be based in our New York office, but have flexibility to work remotely based on business needs.
What you need to have:
  • Preferred candidates have an expected graduation date of Spring 2025
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Strong critical thinking/analytic and a foundation of business communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Team player in a collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to work independently, highly adaptable, self-starter and enjoys challenges
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to be highly adaptable and high sense of urgency and drive

HYBRID WORK POLICY STATEMENT

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $54,300 to $108,500.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
