At all times the nurse practitioner will abide by the standards and laws governing the certifications that they hold. It is the responsibility of the nurse practitioner to keep all certifications and license current at all times.

Requirements

Current Louisiana State Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Family Nurse Practitioner ANCC or AANPCP Certified for Family Practice

Current BCLS, and ACLS Certification

Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority

Effective communication and leadership skills

Ability to effectively work in a fast-pace environment
