Position Description:
We are looking for a DevOps Manager to join our IT team in our Taylor office. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of five years of management experience in DevOps or related roles. A flexible hybrid work schedule is available after 90 days of employment. Candidates must be able to report and work out of the Taylor, Michigan office.
Typical Responsibilities include
- Project Management: Manage projects with a strong understanding of tools and automation frameworks.
- Business Metrics: Develop, administer, and maintain key business metrics for reporting.
- Training Materials: Develop and maintain written and visual end-user training materials and provide end-user training for various business systems.
- Service Desk Support: Provide Service Desk ticket control to DevOps and be accountable for the response and diagnosis of end-user issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Commit to and practice continuous improvement in people, processes, and technology to promote collaboration, agility, and speed using an agile, sprint-based working style.
- Methodologies: Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Communication: Ensure effective communication to keep all stakeholders and team members in sync and satisfied with the DevOps process.
- Coaching: Ability to coach and be open to coaching to be effective problem solvers, deal with ambiguity, connect with the big picture (business value), call out barriers to delivery, and be mission focused.
- Team Collaboration: Be open to learning, giving and taking feedback, putting the team above personal interest, excelling in team success, and striving for excellence.
- Implementation Support: Assist in the implementation, deployment, and support of a new accounting and project management application suite.
- Travel: Occasional travel between Wade Trim locations to provide training and support services
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Management Experience: 5-10+ years of management experience.
- Multitasking: Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Reporting Tools: Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or other reporting tools to provide clear dashboards for upper management on team proficiency.
- Database Knowledge: Proven knowledge of database concepts using Microsoft SQL and SQL Server Management Studio to facilitate dashboards and reports for upper management.
- Microsoft Products: Strong knowledge of current Microsoft products and online applications, including SharePoint Online and the Power Platform.
- Programming Skills: Programming experience in C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Visual Studio, .Net development, HTML/CSS, or to maintain a clear line of communication between stakeholders and upper management when relaying issues and status on projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to a range of user levels.
- Documentation and Training: Ability to create end-user documentation and provide training for users.
- BST Global Business Management System: Experience with BST Global Business Management system is a plus but not required.
