- Seeking Palliative Medicine Physician for Huntsville Hospital
- Clinical Duties to include inpatient consults with inpatient hospice coverage
- Interdisciplinary team with NPs, Music Therapy, SWs and Chaplains
- Call rotation for inpatient hospice facility
Professional Skills/Qualifications:
- MD or DO from accredited medical school
- Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
- Ideal candidate with Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship
- Alabama Medicine License
- DEA License
- Communicate efficiently with patients, families and team
- Expertise in symptom management for patients with serious illness
- Effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary framework
- Demonstrate a desire to help increase Palliative Care access in the community
- Participate with staff education and mentoring
- Willingness to supervise residents
- Comfortable supervising advanced practice providers
