Contract Duration: 13 weeks
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with Oncology Chemo Certification to join the team at WellSpan York Hospital. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in a telemetry setting. The RN will specialize in chemotherapy administration and work with patients who have palliative care and end-of-life care needs. The role requires strong knowledge of oncology nursing, telemetry, and experience in chemotherapy treatment.
Administer chemotherapy and provide supportive care to patients with oncological needs.

• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry, ensuring vital signs and data are tracked and assessed.

• Provide palliative and end-of-life care for patients as necessary.

• Float to other medical/surgical units if needed.

• Ensure patient care is in line with established protocols and WellSpan guidelines.

• Perform assessments, document care in the EPIC system, and report any changes to the clinical team.

• Participate in scheduled rotations, including weekends and holidays as required.
Unit Information:

• Unit: 7 South, a 32-bed oncology telemetry unit that provides care to patients aged 18 and older with medical oncology needs. This includes chemotherapy administration and palliative/end-of-life care.

• Adults with medical oncology needs

• Palliative care and end-of-life care patients

• Oncology patients receiving chemotherapy
Licenses: Must have a valid PA or multi-state nursing license.

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an oncology or telemetry setting.

• o Oncology Chemo Certification (CHEMO)
EPIC experience is required.
Competency in telemetry monitoring

• Ability to float to other med/surg units as required
Ability to provide palliative care and manage end-of-life care
Shifts: 3x12-Hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)

• Holidays: As needed
