Job Description Job Opportunity: PRN Psychiatrist for Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center (Weekday and Weekend Call Coverage) Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center is seeking a dedicated PRN Psychiatrist to provide weekday and weekend call coverage for our acute inpatient units. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the community's behavioral health needs in a flexible, part-time role. Position Overview: Role Type: Part-time employed or Independent Contractor Schedule: Flexible, with weekday and weekend call coverage Patient Population: Adult patients in the inpatient program Responsibilities: Conduct admissions evaluationsProvide daily care for assigned patients during assigned coverage. Compensation: Highly Competitive compensation offered, with the option of part-time salary or independent contractor status The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in Psychiatry, or in the process of completing residency or fellowship training, with experience in inpatient behavioral health services. All patient care is provided within a multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of psychiatrists, counselors, nurses, social workers, and other therapists. Required Qualifications: MD/DO degree from an accredited program Board certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry or completing Psychiatry residency Licensed to practice in Virginia Inpatient experience preferred Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians Why Choose Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center?
