In this vital role, you’ll be the first point of contact for new patients and referral partners—managing referrals, verifying insurance, scheduling visits, and coordinating care start dates to ensure a smooth, compassionate intake experience. Key Responsibilities Process new patient referrals quickly and accurately Verify insurance and obtain authorizations Coordinate start-of-care dates and patient visits Schedule clinicians/caregivers based on skills and availability Adjust schedules for last-minute changes or urgent needs Communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians, and staff Maintain accurate records in EMR and scheduling systems Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of home health intake or scheduling experience preferred Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, insurance verification, and authorizations Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Proficiency with EMR systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Team-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment Apply Today Join us at Human Touch Home HealthCare in Silver Spring, MD, where your skills make a real difference every day.
