Senior MRI Technologist, First Shift, Radiology- MRI

UC Health is hiring a full-time Senior MRI Technologist in the Radiology Department at West Chester Hospital.

A Senior MRI Technologist will support the University of Cincinnati Medical Center's Radiology Department by performing all aspects of magnetic resonance imaging including preparing thoroughly for procedures and completing each task with thoroughness. This will require a high level of skill and ability to assist team members during the entire magnetic resonance imaging process.

Utilizes high technology GE wide bore scanners. Dedicated to safe MRI practices with specific patient tailored protocols. The department has a reputation for providing outstanding patient experiences and quality medical care. Responsibilities

Communicates in a clear and appropriate manner with patients and staff while being able to identify and respond to varying needs according to the situation. Performs all aspects of MRI according to established protocols, which includes, explaining procedures to patients, reviewing safety protocol with patients and participating parties, and completed MRI procedures according to safety standards. Operates complex imaging equipment in a safe manner and reviews films for diagnostic acceptability. Reviews and administers medications according to physician direction and provides continuous care to patients after completed procedures. Prepares and administers contrast media or medications orally and by intravenous injection under the physician's direction. Maintains appropriate records and supplies, participates in quality control, and evaluates department, equipment, and performance for areas of improvement. Administers or assists in administering CPR or other emergency procedures as needed. Responsible for employee scheduling, providing input concerning staff performance, monitoring and directing day-to-day operations of the modality, and managing patient scheduling issues Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
Completion of a JRCERT-approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate degree in Radiologic, Nuclear, or Sonographic Technology Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or have equivalent certifications, Successfully completed and passed MRI registry. Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association Prefer one year of experience but not necessary. Must complete at least 24 hours of direct credit continuing education every 2 years Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Shift: First Shift

Expected starting salary range for this position is between $34.87/hr. - $43.12/hr.

The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position.
