SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Involves revenue cycle functions for the healthcare enterprise, including system billing, reporting and support. Ensures account information contains accurate and comprehensive data to provide timely billing and optimal reimbursement for services. Impacts processes to include charge capture, coding, insurance identification, data entry, billing, payment posting, refund processing and collections. May also be responsible for / integrated with business office operations. Scope: Oversees multiple teams of accounts receivable management. Including; but not limited to billing; collections; cash posting; refunds; and customer service. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES ·Revenue Cycle Work with the finance department and clinical departments to develop a third party payer pricing strategy and monitor its implementation and financial impact. Develops effective policies and practices to ensure effective revenue cycle management. Ensures the effective implementation of revenue cycle strategies. ·Operational Management Provide leadership on initiatives, projects or programs. Collaborate with appropriate parties to plan, implement, and/or evaluate services. May manage personnel related to specific projects. ·Project Management Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources. Reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Provides detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted. ·Performance Development Participate in the development and monitoring of an effective staffing and retention strategy, including hiring and terminating employees, partner with department leadership to ensure effective performance management of direct reports; establish and maintain procedures for orientation of new employees; mentor and provide learning and development opportunities for direct reports; collaborate with human resources business partners department leadership to meet the division's talent management goals; support organizational programs/plans that impact employees and ensure communication, comprehension, and adherence to all Human Resources policies and related legal and/or compliance requirements. ·Financial Management Monitor internal controls for cash management; maintain and monitor financial controls; ensure accounts receivable management; analyze and monitor financial performance and assist in the reporting of financial results; evaluate variances, determine underlying causes and identify, present, and implement proposed solutions; establish and monitor productivity metrics; accountable for compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Required: ·Bachelor's degree in a related field ·5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline Prior experience in leading teamsExperience in Epic billing and collections functionality Preferred: Unique Skills : Cincinnati Children’s is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and treasures Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
