RN Quality & Safety Spec-(3294698) Description We are excited to share an opportunity for an Immune Effector Cell Quality Nurse. TheImmune Effector Cell Therapy (IEC) Quality RNisresponsible for oversight ofthequality, and specialized regulatory needs ofthe Immune Effector Cell Therapy (IEC) side of the Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (HCTCT) Program. Will collaborate with Quality personnel for the Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation program, the Cellular Therapeutics and Transplantation Laboratory (CTTL) and Apheresis unit of BTS. Thisindividual is responsible for tracking outcomes, maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), staff training andclinical program datafor ongoing FACT accreditation. In addition, will present in cellular therapy rounds and present outcomes and quality measures as appropriate. This individual willberesponsibleforinterfacingwiththeinpatient and outpatient clinicianteam, nurse navigators, CNS/NPS, data managers, pharmacists, processing laboratory administrationandstaff, apheresis staff, OR nursing staff, andwillbeintegrated intothelargerMGH Cancer Center Quality and Safety Team. ·Managementandoversightforissuesaroundqualitymanagement,quality measurementandanalysis, reporting ofquality for the Immune Effector Cellular Therapy Program. ·Works collaboratively with, manages and coordinates quality management activities with other program quality personnel such as the HCTCT Quality Project Manager, Cellular Therapy Nurse Manager, CTTL Compliance and Quality Assurance Specialists, and BTS Quality/Compliance. ·Coordinates activities related to FACT accreditation with the HCTCT Quality Project Manager for tasks such as completion of Annual Report and Compliance Application and coordinating the onsite FACT inspection. ·Serves as a resource to interpret and ensure compliance with FACT standards as they apply to the program. ·Facilitates audits, inspections and requests for documents and information (RFIs) from outside entities and regulators by collaborating with other members of the Program Quality Team. ·The IEC Quality RN willhaveakeyroleinthemeasurementofquality andsafety programs designated by the MGH/MGPO asthey pertain tothe HCTCTprogram. ·Participationincareredesignprojectsandclinicalcompliance andprocessimprovement activities within the program. ·Prepares and presents slides on quality metrics during Cellular Therapy rounds and facilitates regularly scheduled IEC Quality meeting with the program Clinical Director. ·TheImmune Effector Cellular Therapy Quality RN collaborateswithphysicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists,and otherhealthcare professionals engagedinthecareoftheIEC population intheinpatient and outpatient settings. ·Activeinchartreviewandmeasurementactivities. Abstracts information from paper charts andelectronic systems; maintainingup-to-dateandorderlyrecords&databasesofresults;andidentifyingfactorsinvolvedinvariances fromnorm. Writes audits based on this data. Requires high accuracy and diligence, as this information is reported to FACT and directly impacts program certification. ·Coordinates,compiles,andsubmitsrequesteddocumentationinpreparationforFACTaccreditation inspection, follow-up, and annual reports. ·In collaboration with the HCTCT Quality Project Manager, and with the Cellular Therapy Clinical Director and Program Director, prepares an annual report distributed to the HCTCT Program and Cancer Center. ·Develops a quality management audit schedule and reviewsandrevisesatleastannually in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders in the HCTCT program. ·Developsauditstotrackandtrendforerrors/accidents/deviationsandtomeetregulatory and accreditation requirements. Observes and oversees quality issues related to OR procedures involving cellular product In conjunction with the Cancer Center Quality and Safety RN Resource Coordinator, will review safety events and participate in RCA associated activities as needed. Reviews safety reports and deviations. Assesses corrective actions to ensure adequacy. Trends reports to identify areas for concern. ·Workswithotherdepartmentsanddiseasecenterstoensurecompliance withFDA,FACT,JC andinstitutional regulations andstandards tomeet HCTCT program requirements. ·In conjunction with the HCT Quality Project Manager, reviews, revises, writes policiesandprocedures toensurecompliancewith FACT requirements.In conjunction with the Clinical Director, approves policies andprocedures fortheClinical Program. ·In conjunction with the HCT Quality Project Manager, maintains SOPs in the HCTCT Policy Manual in Ellucid. ·Prepares data and requested information for annual insurance and ASTCT surveys and questionnaires. ·Oversees REMS training requirements for physicians and designated staff. ·Ensures the program is compliant with REMS requirements by writing and submitting a quarterly report to external parties. ·Prepares data and requested information for quarterly or annual REMs audits. Qualifications Experience/Education/Degree BSN is strongly preferred. Must have current licensure as a registered nurse in Massachusetts. Minimum of one-year licensed RN experience required.
