Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in Renton, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents while upholding a visible presence. This armed and driving post requires you to respond promptly to situations, interact professionally with personnel, and deliver outstanding customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $28.81 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.Monitor for unusual activity and/or potential threats, reporting observations according to site protocols.Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a courteous manner, providing assistance as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and site contacts.Follow all procedures for access control, including verifying identification and authorizations as required at the location.Respond promptly to alarms and/or requests for assistance, taking appropriate action based on site-specific guidelines.Minimum Requirements:Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.A valid armed guard card or license is required.Must be at least 21 years of age.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
