This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.The Senior External Reporting Specialist will be responsible for supporting the preparation and coordination of external financial reporting for PBF entities, ensuring compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations and other applicable reporting requirements. This individual will maintain a strong understanding of current SEC and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) reporting guidance and will work collaboratively across departments to gather, analyze, and validate financial information.Principle Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 11-K, and other required disclosures, for multiple entitiesPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for reporting entitiesCoordinate with internal teams (e.g., Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Investor Relations, Human Resources) to collect, analyze, and validate information for external reportingMonitor changes in SEC and FASB reporting requirements and collaborate with the Technical Accounting team to update disclosures and reporting processesOversee lease accounting compliance and reportingOversee pension accounting compliance and reportingWork with the General Accounting group to coordinate the close and consolidation processParticipate in the Company’s Disclosure Committee activities and preparationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting requirementsAssist in coordinating with external auditors, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiriesServe as a subject matter resource on reporting-related finance and accounting topicsManage ad hoc reporting requests and support M&A activity as neededJob Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredSEC/public company reporting or public accounting experience required2+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or a similar role (SEC, public company reporting or public accounting experience preferred)Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and financial statement preparationCPA license is a plus, but not requiredExperience with SAP, BPC, Workiva, and SRA is a plusIndustry experience in oil refining, energy, or manufacturing is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and project management skillsONLY CANDIDATES MEETING THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONSIDEREDFOR SERIOUS CONSIDERATION, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR SALARY REQUIREMENTSThe salary range for this position is $72,815.60- $116,172.65. The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate’s compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases.
