Job Description On-site Bookkeeper North Andover, MA $25-$30/hr We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to join a team in North Andover, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Key Responsibilities: Maintain Financial Records: Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month.Monitor financial transactions and reports. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.Track and manage bills and invoices.Handle vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies. Payroll: Process payroll on a regular schedule, including managing employee deductions and benefits.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.Provide insights and analysis on financial performance. Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. General Administrative Duties: Manage and organize financial documents and records.Assist with other administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). Experience: Proven bookkeeping experience.Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and interpersonal skills. Other Requirements: Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).Familiarity with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
