Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.Why You’ll Want to Join PCC Structurals – Groton:Competitive starting pay at $20/hrQuarterly incentive bonuses, shift differentials, overtime opportunities, and a robust benefits package with up to 7% 401(k) matchOpportunities to grow through upskilling, cross-training, and company-supported certificationsBuild valuable, in-demand aerospace manufacturing skillsJoin a team that’s committed to investing in your future and promoting from within Job Description Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm *Overtime Opportunities Available*2nd shift: 5% Shift Differential Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Perform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and providing recommendations to help make PCC a safe work environment.Achieve team production and efficiency goals by working to meet all operational and quality standards to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.Perform somewhat diversified duties to accomplish a variety of in-process and final inspection operations on production parts following established methods and procedures, and/ or specific instructions.Visually inspect parts for surface finish quality, proper form and features, and for the presence of cracks, damage or other disqualifying defects. Perform dimensional inspections as required, using micrometers, indicators, Vernier’s, plug and thread gages and any special hand gaging equipment required.Originate and maintain required inspection reports in specified form. Prepare necessary rework or salvage orders to request correction of discrepant parts.Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to proper supervision. Experience and Education:A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but may be substituted by manufacturing experience.One year of manufacturing experience preferred, previous experience in the casting industry is a plus. Requirements:Ability to bring your best self every day to safely meet or exceed production and quality standards.Ability to thrive in an environment where business and team needs may change to help meet business and customer demands.Understanding of basic math calculations.Ability to use precision measuring instruments, test equipment or other devices where interpretation is required.Ability to perform duties in manufacturing environment which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
