Job DescriptionThe Red Gate Group is seeking an experienced OUSD Policy Analyst to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict (ASW SO/LIC) in Arlington, VA.Are you a policy analyst currently working within OUSD looking for a new challenge? This role offers an opportunity to apply your existing OSW policy experience to a dynamic portfolio covering special operations, counterterrorism, information operations, irregular warfare, and counter-unmanned systems (C-UXS).As an OUSD Policy Analyst supporting ASW SO/LIC, you'll leverage your established policy analysis skills while expanding into strategic defense challenges at the intersection of special operations and irregular warfare. You'll work on emerging operational concepts, particularly in the counter-unmanned systems domain, while maintaining the high-level coordination and senior leader engagement you're already familiar with in the OUSD environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive administrative and analytical support to SO/LIC leadership for irregular warfare and information operations, including:Preparing high-level meeting agendas and read-ahead packagesTracking and managing action items from senior leader engagementsPreparing briefings for senior leadershipManage the Counter-Unmanned Systems (C-UXS) portfolio for the Joint Rapid Acquisition Center (JRAC) Warfighter Senior Integration Group (W-SIG), facilitating rapid acquisition and global deployment of C-UXS capabilities in response to urgent Combatant Command requirementsConduct daily Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection, review, and research to support C-UXS and irregular warfare operationsAnalyze and integrate multi-source intelligence, including C-UXS data, to:Monitor and assess global C-UXS campaigns and operationsReview, evaluate, and categorize high volumes of complex intelligence to identify patterns and trendsProduce clear, concise intelligence products, speculative analysis, and evaluationsAdvise on changes to policy guidance, operational plans, and intelligence activitiesCoordinate with uniformed planners and senior OSW leaders to address policy and resource implications of emerging operational conceptsServe as a liaison between U.S. Special Operations Command and stakeholders across DoW, interagency, and intelligence community by preparing briefings, talking points, and executive summaries for high-level forumsWhy This Role?
