POSITION OVERVIEWThe Spa Operations Manager (SOM) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for back of house (BOH) and front of house (FOH). The SOM is responsible for the delivery of great guest service, the development of Members, and the execution/implementation of key business initiatives for the spa.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and training all Members in all spa areasManage overall guest satisfaction, establish goals and timeframes, and monitor progress to achieve desired outcomesSupport the Spa Director and Spa Assistant Director on revenue generating incentives throughout the spaMonitor the pricing of competitors, understand the dynamics of the local market and demand generators, provide recommendations on revenue opportunitiesReview reports and analytics and determine the spa weekly and long-range calculations, provide forecasts to spa leadershipWith the assistance of the Group Sales and Service Supervisor, oversee all group and convention bookings for the SpaCoordinate the yield management process and manages the spa booking system dailyResponsible for creating asset protection and emergency procedures to ensure protection of all spa equipment and guest safetyProvide analysis and reporting on all aspects of the Spa call centerResponsible for the Food and Beverage programming throughout the spa, lounges, and penthouse suiteEnsure all areas of the spa are kept clean and well maintainedLead by example by demonstrating exceptional guest service and Member interactions along with following all Company and department policies and proceduresAttend and participate in support training and staff meetingsEnsure all Fontainebleau core values, property, department standards are implemented and appliedAssist in the spa reception and spa facilities when neededTemporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessaryQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 21 years of age.Three (3) years of experience in spa operations, spa management, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredAt least three years of leadership/management experience in a resort spa or a similar or related field referredMinimum of five (5) years working in a luxury resort setting or similar industryWorking knowledge of spa booking systems.Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Able to multi-task while assisting multiple guestsPolished appearance and demeanorExcellent guest and team member skillsEffective time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExtraordinary attention to detail, while working under tight deadlinesAbility to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teamsAbility to resolve problems to the satisfaction of both the guest and the companyAbility to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated businessMust be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekendsWork in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environmentSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job supervises all Spa Hosts, Spa Concierge, Lead Spa Hosts, Linen Runners, Spa Operations Supervisors, and Group Sales and Service Supervisor.DIVERSITY COMMITMENT Fontainebleau Las Vegas is committed to ensuring an inclusive space and sense of belonging for our Members.
