Senior Environmental Engineer CKL is currently seeking enthusiastic students with an interest in environmental engineering who would like the opportunity to grow their skills in the field. EXPECTATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES On a daily basis, environmental engineers will... Conduct pre-construction surveys, monitoring, and prepare monitoring reports Maintain compliance with environmental permits and regulations Assure that erosion and sedimentation control measures are installed and maintained Assist with planning, developing, coordinating and ensuring the successful completion of projects Prepare and monitor project schedules to assure successful delivery of projects on time and on budget Prepare engineering project proposals in coordination with other engineers Make independent decisions and take responsibility for project solutions MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a U.S.accredited college or university At least 5 years of experience as an environmental engineer Relevant environmental compliance experience Experience in implementing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Experience in technical writing Registered Civil Engineer (PE) in the State of Illinois Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills Ability to work as a team US citizenship Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and Primavera P6, AutoCAD is a plus 3.0 GPA or better required WHO WE ARE CKL ENGINEERS, LLC is one of the fastest growing engineering services providers in the Midwest.Our company of engineers, construction management professionals and material technicians work on a variety of aviation, tolls and highway projects for multiple municipalities.
