The Facility Control Systems (FCS) group has a core mission to improve jet engine test efficiency by developing robust test facility automations. We are seeking a creative and driven controls engineer to implement solutions in support of our goal. Teamwork and interpersonal skills are critical to success in this group. Strong written and oral communication skills are also a must. You should be flexible working in a rapidly evolving environment where objectives can change in accordance with customer needs.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will design and maintain control system software for facility safety systems, engine resource delivery systems, and many other unique applications. Working all project stages from planning to validation to customer support, you will have the opportunity to program logic for custom-built systems used for specialized engine test objectives. This role requires constant collaboration and working alongside a wide array of support groups to ensure engine tests are executed safely and successfully.What You Will Learn
Candidates hired will begin their first 2 years at Pratt & Whitney as part of the Engineering Development Program (EDP) under the Development Operations (DO) or Product Safety, Certification, Validation & Engineering Quality (PSCV&EQ) Organization. This consists of three rotations of approximately 8-months in duration in three different departments across either or both of our two organizations (DO/PSCV&EQ). Upon their 2-year graduation, they will return to their hiring department (1st rotation) for at least 1 year. The intent of our EDP is to offer breadth & depth in various technical experiences through challenging positions available in our organizations. This program will help expand your professional and technical competencies that will serve as the foundation for exceptional contributions that you will make at Pratt & Whitney.Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field Minimum GPA of 3.0 U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with focus on control systems. Experience with logic design and Allen Bradley PLC hardware. Experience with Labview or similar graphical coding environments. PID tuning experience. HMI design experience. Experience with electrical control circuit design and troubleshooting methods. Experience with pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electric motors. Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audienceWhat We Offer

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
