Position Information Job Title Instructor - Communication Department School of Communication Essential Functions The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) School of Communication seeks an outstanding Instructor to advance the School's commitment to helping students acquire the knowledge and skills needed for effective communication in their academic career, professional, and community life. The anticipated start date is August 18, 2025. The individual filling this non-tenure-track position must possess a Master's degree in Communication or related field by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will primarily teach Public Speaking but will have opportunities to teach other undergraduate courses such as Interpersonal Communication, Interviewing, Small Group Communication and Business and Professional Communication and possibly others.

Located within the College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media (CFAM), the School of Communication emphasizes collaborative and entrepreneurial relationships with undergraduate and graduate students. The School has creative leadership, transparent communication, and a collegial faculty and staff. Non-tenure track faculty members teach four courses per semester, are required to perform service, and are exempt from research/creativity activity.
