The Centralized Verification Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely investigation of sub-prime consumer loan applications. Ensure that critical loan approval stipulations are addressed, resolved, and meet company policies. Identify and escalate complex issues as they are identified. In the RoleMaintain thorough knowledge and understanding of OneMain’s policies and procedures, as well as state and federal lawsComprehensive understanding of verification workflowEnsuring loan stipulations are distributed appropriately to ensure cycle time meets or exceeds customer expectations and individual process and service level standardsVerification activities may include validating identity, address, and social security number; employment, auto insurance, automobile value, lien and title verification; analyzing proof of income and disposable income; fulfilling loan requests, perfecting liens and reviewing loan documents for accuracy and completenessProvide escalation support on complex issues that may occur to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan stipulationsIdentify anomalies or complex issues and decisively escalate to provide a timely and seamless transition within the processIdentify, investigate and/or escalate potential fraud risksAct as a liaison between multiple internal and external customers and/or vendors.
