Assistant Teacher, Early Childhood Barkai Yeshivah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our Early Childhood team. Our program is known for its nurturing, child-centered approach, where young children develop socially, emotionally, and academically in a warm, supportive environment. The Assistant Teacher will support the lead teacher in fostering an engaging, immersive classroom experience for students. This role involves assisting with classroom management, providing individualized support to students, and helping to implement lesson plans that promote early childhood development. The Assistant Teacher will collaborate closely with the teaching team to ensure that each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive. The position reports to the Early Childhood Director. We are looking for a compassionate educator who is excited to work in a collaborative, creative environment and who has a passion for helping young children develop a love for learning. About Barkai: Barkai Yeshivah is a traditional, Sephardic elementary school in Brooklyn, NY. Barkai’s mission is to cultivate the unique potential of each ben and bat Torah, based on the belief that all elements of the world should be recognized through the framework of Torah. Our goal is to provide a warm, child-centered environment in which students can develop into lifelong learners and pursuers of knowledge who will become the leaders of the next generation. Our teachers work collaboratively to facilitate whole class and small group instruction aimed to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of each student.
