Today, the national security community and every branch of the military rely on Govini to enable faster and more informed Acquisition decisions.Job DescriptionGovini is seeking a proven, driven, and mission-focused Vice President, Strategic Growth to expand our most significant business development initiatives and drive Govinis growth within the defense and national security sectors. This uniquely strategic and operational role includes both internal and external-facing responsibilities, driving critical business outcomes for Govinis long-term success. The right person for this position has a track record of effectively shaping and capturing large government contracts for emerging and innovative technologies, particularly software. If you are excited about transforming the future of defense and meet these requirements, we are excited to hear from you.This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Arlington, VA.This role may require up to 50% travel.Scope of ResponsibilitiesShape and capture strategic growth opportunitiesCreate new and leverage existing relationshipsMap requirements and relationships within target DoD offices to identify opportunities for Govinis offeringsLeverage effective relationships with key customer stakeholders to identify new business opportunities by identifying and addressing customer needsDrive execution of strategies to maximize success across new opportunities, recompetes, and IDIQsPersonally engage in strategic sales and business development opportunitiesLead capture of large, complex Federal contracts Convert tangible outcomes from mission success pilots into a roadmap for expanded, sustained capabilitiesCollaborate with capture and sales teams to drive understanding of customer needs, motivations, and market trendsQualificationsU.S. Citizenship is requiredRequired Skills:At least 10 years of relevant experience in program management, acquisitions, or business development/capture in the government or private sectorA minimum of 5 years of experience in a DoD-focused business developmentProven track record of shaping and capturing strategic defense growth opportunitiesDeep understanding of government contracting, fielding, and requirements generationDemonstrated ability to build, adapt, and implement innovative market approachesExpertise in leading the capture of large, complex pursuits for Federal contracts valued at $50M or moreDesired Skills: Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain one with our sponsorshipExperience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environmentWe firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance.
