Description SummaryThe gym manager oversees daily operations, maintenance, and safety, addresses member concerns, promotes inclusivity, supports wellness initiatives, manages equipment and records, and coordinates preventative maintenance.Minimum Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.Minimum Experience/Training: Six years or more of functional experienceEssential Functions:Assists in strategic planning for the department. Acts as the department liaison, meeting with students to discuss curriculum, schedules, grades, and concerns in the absence of the Associate Dean.Assists as a content specialist and serves as a curricular resource for adjunct faculty by supplying sample syllabi, distributing exit exams and related materials, mentoring adjuncts, and supporting the Associate Dean.Collaborates with lab staff and coordinators to enhance lab procedures, materials, and techniques.Meets with full-time and adjunct faculty in Science Lab as necessary to review syllabi, textbooks, and course requirements.Assists with implementing technology in the classroom.Implements effective wellness programs and analyzes their impact before and after implementation. Tracks results and recommends modifications, changes, additions, or cancellations to these programs.Assists in developing policies and procedures for the wellness program.
