Operations Technician I/II/III

This position will be filled at our Plymouth, WA facilityAs an LNG Operations Technician, you will be responsible for operating the facility in various modes, including holding (boiling off gas), liquefaction, and vaporization processes. You will independently lead all utility and emergency systems within the facility. This role involves completing complex technical assignments with limited oversight. Organizational, collaboration, and communication skills are keys to successYour work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.For an Operations Technician III - LNGResponsibilities/Expectations:Operates all aspects of the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facility, including vaporization, liquefaction, and boiling off gas systemsMaintains facility equipment and supports pipeline operations, ensuring compliance with technical standards and governmental requirementsReads and interprets drawings, process flow diagrams, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Interprets electrical drawings and uses them to troubleshoot and resolve simple to moderate faults within program guidelinesSolves operational, mechanical, and control system faults and troubleshoots electrical issues using diagramsTrains, coaches, and mentors junior operations technicians on operations, maintenance, security, and emergency tasksOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years related experience in natural gas industry experience or equivalent experiencePreferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and technical licenses/certificatesOther Requirements:Must possess a valid Driver’s License from the state in which you live and a clear driving recordMust be able to pass an LNG pre-employment physical as required by federal lawDemonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills. Must stay apprised of and abide by all company policiesPhysical and Environmental Work Requirements:Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spacesCarry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbsStand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of timeWork at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)Use hand toolsShift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements (edit as appropriate, or remove)Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as neededMay be required to work overtime, 10–12-hour shifts, extended hours, and travel between William's locations with occasional overnight staysFor an Operations Technician II – LNGResponsibilities/Expectations:Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, ensuring compliance with technical standards and governmental requirements with minimal oversight. This includes operating the LNG facility in holding modeIndependently operated all utility and emergency systems in the facility when requiredFollows and complies with operation, maintenance, safety, and emergency proceduresInterprets process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, cause and effect matrices, and electrical one-line diagramsCompletes assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate recordsUtilizes Maximo and SWM applications to review assigned work orders and PMs with minimal directionCommunicates clearly with internal and external customers regarding daily operations and any process or condition upsetsOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:Required: High school diploma or GED and at least one (1) year of some natural gas industry or equivalent experiencePreferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and technical licenses/certificatesOther Requirements:Must possess a valid Driver’s License from the state in which you live and a clear driving recordMust be able to pass an LNG pre-employment physical as required by federal lawDemonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills.
