The IA Project Delivery Team, which oversees the implementation of vertical design and construction projects for agencies throughout the City, and The DOTI Facilities Planning Team, which centralizes the advocacy of DOTI’s own facilities’ physical space needs and asset management approach. This position is seeking an Agency Project Coordinator on the DOTI Facilities Team to represent multiple DOTI Divisions in their improvements to the physical working environment in which DOTI employees operate. The asset management, life cycle, and space planning coordination of these DOTI buildings is critical to understand the priorities and needs of the physical environment – this will be a primary focus of this position.The Agency Project Coordinator largely serve two main duties:During major construction projects (implemented in tandem with the IA Project Delivery Team), act as a DOTI Owner’s Representative by advocating for divisional interests regarding space planning, renovation, and or construction of general improvement projects to DOTI’s own buildings and spaces.This position may also take on smaller planning projects, that do not require construction services within DOTI Facilities, such as master planning, programming, structural evaluations, facility condition assessments, and minor repairs.Other duties may include:Advocating for proper budget to carry out the improvements at DOTI FacilitiesSpace planning and inventory assessment of DOTI buildings, storage areas, equipment, and assetsExecutive level communication to consolidate and prioritize multiple DOTI divisional needs, and/or competing interests in shared spacesField visits to DOTI campuses throughout the City to evaluate space constraints, challenges, damage, reconfigurations, and new ideasCoordination with other agencies in shared spaces to identify the highest and best use of the space for Citywide objectivesServe as main point of contact between DOTI Divisions and IA Delivery Team. Facilitates effective communication and manages all project-related correspondence.This is an opportunity to leverage good work that has already been accomplished and to build upon a great project management team, responsible for facilitating the planning, programming, design, new construction, and renovations of City buildings and facilities.You will successfully lead by bringing and implementing ideas that will increase collaboration, performance, innovation, and accountability to our team, to our stakeholders and to our customer agencies as you deliver projects on their behalf. Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Create, analyze, and maintain project schedules and budgets in association with defined scopes of workRepresent DOTI’s interests in design and construction projects and coordinate with the design and construction teamsGenerate thorough and accurate regular project reports for distribution to stakeholdersDefine and measure project performanceUnderstand and apply emotional intelligence to your work environmentIdentify and implement innovations to improve project and team performanceWhat You’ll BringOur ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics: Five or more years of professional project management experience in commercial, institutional and/or municipal/governmental work as an owner's representative, construction project manager or as a design project managerExperience communicating amenably with project teams in a challenging and diverse environmentAbility to follow strict and ethical policies and procedures that guide municipal project delivery workRequired Minimum QualificationsEducation requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a related field.Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of professional project management experience in the related occupational group including coordinating, administering, and monitoring projects.Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.Application DeadlineThis position is expected to stay open until Sunday, January 11, 2026.
