We need talent like yours to be part of our growing team and tackle some of our biggest engineering challenges.SUMMARYThis role of Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of projects. Accountable for project performance, ensuring quality control on deliverables, and maintaining client relationships. Provides direction and guidance to other Project Managers, Project Engineers and Technicians on project teams. This is an excellent opportunity to lead an assessment and design team to advance your career into a leadership role with growth potential in a dynamic, successful engineering company.ACCOUNTABILITIESExperience in designing and implementing water and wastewater infrastructure projects, water pipelines, wells, boosters, reservoirs, in addition to wastewater gravity sewer mains, lift stations, force mains, and odor controlProgram management, water and sewer planning, and master plansActively pursue Marketing and Business Development opportunities while building new and maintaining existing client relationshipsParticipate in the execution of Company strategic initiativesRepresent the Company at industry events and conferencesParticipate and coach project teams for new project interviewsPrepare and negotiate scopes of work, schedules and fee proposalsAssemble project teams (subconsultants, internal staff) for pursuits Set up accounting and budget tracking for new projectsPrepare and manage project schedules and budgetsCoordinate all aspects of project life cycle, including: clients/owners, design teams, internal staff and all other necessary resourcesPerform Quality Assurance and Quality Control for project deliverablesProvide clarification and direction to technical staff on project issues and general engineering principlesPrepare project billing/invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of paymentEvaluate company practices and processes to provide input for continuous improvementActively participate in the career development of staffNote: Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this role at any time.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:A strong commitment to the Values of the CompanyAbility to manage complex, high value projectsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality or effectivenessThe ability to make sound decisions for the benefit of the project and the CompanyThe ability to foresee the impacts of elements of the projectUnderstanding of available resources and the ability to efficiently manage those resourcesUnderstanding of project budgetingThe ability to consistently meet project deadlines while always maintaining a high level of qualityTechnical knowledge of engineering principlesAbility to effectively communicate to all levels of the project team including technicians, engineers, sub-consultants and clientsAbility to effectively communicate project and billing status and needs with the clientProven negotiating skills and the ability to successfully negotiate acceptable contractsEducation and Experience:B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, and 10 to 15 years of experience in civil engineering.Minimum 8 years Project Management experience.Must have a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain a valid Colorado driver's license within 3 months of start date.Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Colorado or the ability to obtain registration within six months.LOCATION: This opportunity is in our Denver, Colorado office locationCOMPENSATION: Annual Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 DOE. The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
