Technical Training Specialist

SUMMARY: The Technical Training Specialist teaches employees and customers basic and advanced courses in industrial automation and maintenance skills. JOB DUTIES • Delivers technical instruction for employees and customers. • Shadows Motion instructors and learns how to facilitate existing curriculum. • Teaches technical classes at MI and customer locations. • Maintains class instructional materials. • Recommends course improvements. • Develops new course curriculum. • Works with customers to determine training needs. • Promotes training sales through Motion Industries' branch and corporate sales force. • Maintains and assembles hands-on training equipment as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Typically requires a bachelor's degree with a technical concentration and ten (10) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES • Extensive knowledge in fluid power, electrical or mechanical power transmission fields. • Ability to educate self on new technology and practices. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
